Home gyms are becoming a rage these days. People are converting their study rooms and part of their sharing space in their house to accommodate a home gym. Because home gyms provide privacy, save time and convenient, they are preffered. Before you go to store and buy the home gym, figure out what kind of budget you have, what do you need for your exercising and how much space you have.
Be careful not to cram your home gym with all sorts of unncesarry equipment. In case you want to do cardio exercises, then something like a treadmill or an elliptical trainer would be best for you, even a Swiss ball will do. To do some muscle building, a smith machine that goes for $400 would be very welcome. To build a decent multi home gym will cost you several thousand dollars. You must have at least 150 square feet on your disposal to build a home gym. You must have some free space to manuveur. If you have a large area to fill, then be my guest and squeeze in a Jacuzzi too. Apart from the main machines like the treadmill, the power plate machines; you should also keep dumb bells, resistance bands and an aerobic box. You should refrain from building your home gym in the basement area.
Be aware that flooring is an important part when you are building your own home gym. You will be able to pick between vynil and rubber flooring. If any falls occur, the rubber flooring will cushion and reduce the impact. Unlike with carpeted floorimng and tiled floor, you will be able to stand, walk and run comfortably. Another advantage is that rubber flooring reduces the fitness equipment impact. Bear in mind that the rubber flooring also has advantages like easy cleaning and maintaining. Vinyl flooring cuts down on the noise, is stain resistant, is hygienic and can be easily cleaned.
